Ultimate Spring reset — Space, body and mind

Spring is one of the most refreshing seasons, and this is coming from someone who loves the winter white snow.

The sun that makes the seasonal depression go away, the trees and leaves that start to grow, and the air that is so refreshing that you want to stay out all day.

That’s what spring means to me — a soft reset. It is getting out of the seasonal slump that makes me want to curl up and stay in bed all day.

After the consistent grinding to achieve all the goals I have written on my vision board, it was time to check in with myself and ask: What’s still serving me? What’s not?

This is exactly what this edition is going to be about.

We are going to slow down and see what is serving us and what is not as we start this season and continue working towards all our 2025 goals.

Spring invites us to look at, not just our closets and our home decors but our habits, routines and mindsets. It’s the perfect time to check in and see what is still aligning with us and serving us. So as you read this, I want you to stop and think, What should I change and what should I keep?

So here are 5 things you should be looking at as you start this process.

  1. Declutter your space

I know that you heard this a million times in every blog, video or post you saw but it is true. Your space reflects what is going on in your mind and by choosing to keep it messy, your mind is also going to be messy because what it is looking at is a cluttered space with no structure. It will lead you to mental chaos.

Do you ever see those people who keep their rooms messy, throw their clothes everywhere, keep their dishes piled up and refuse to clean up? Yeah, it’s not because they are lazy or busy, it is because their mind is so overwhelmed and stressed that it can’t manage the extra task.

By cleaning up your space and making your environment a safe space for your mind, you are taking back control and telling your mind the same thing, We’re taking back control. This isn’t about having the cleanest house or the most aesthetic decor, it’s about designing an environment that reflects and gives you a peace of mind that you need to continue working towards your goals.

2. Update your routines

It’s easy to be stuck in the same mindless habits that make our day to day lives easy but that doesn’t mean that those habits serve us or help us work towards becoming the best version of ourselves. The truth is, just because something feels comfortable doesn’t mean it’s pushing us in the right direction. In fact, sometimes those routines are holding us back.

It’s important to pull up your 2025 resolution and goals as well as your vision board, see what habits and routine you have implemented and how much they are pushing you towards accomplishing your goals. So, How do we know if a habit is helping us grow?

Ask yourself these three questions:

  • Does it boost my focus and productivity?

  • Is it aligning with my self-improvement goals?

  • Does it energize or drain me?

If your answer to the following questions is NO, then you know what to do. Start small by focusing on one change at a time. Instead of just removing a bad habit, replace it with a positive one that aligns with your goals.

3. Get outside more

Getting outside is one of the easiest ways to hit your dopamine reset and feel like you’re actually “that girl.” The fresh air, sunlight, and movement can do wonders for your focus and mood. Since it’s spring and the sun is showing itself after months of white sky, getting your sunlight should be easy.

Sunlight triggers dopamine production in the brain — the chemical that helps you stay motivated, alert, and in a better headspace. It’s literally free energy. Pair that with a walk or some light movement, and you’re giving your brain exactly what it needs to reset and lock back in.

If you’re like me and love staying inside your home, try setting a non-negotiable 10–15 minute walk or run so that no matter what you are feeling, you still get out and get your happy hormones in check.

Don’t overthink it. Just get outside, move your body, and soak up the sun. It’s the easiest way to recharge without doing the most.

4. Reevaluate Your Screen Time

The amount of times we check our phone in a day should be illegal. Do something for me right now, open your settings app and check your screen time. How many hours do you spend on it daily? I am not trying to shame you, I love my phone and what it offers but as I said in my “Spring glow up series” on my Tiktok account, When it gets too much, it distracts you from what is really important.

One of my 2025 resolutions was to dramatically decrease my screen time and so far it’s going as I expect it. There are days my phone is non-existent but there are also days where I spend hours glued to it.

The outcome of those two actions and how they affect my day are dramatically different. After doom scrolling, my energy is low, my mood is snappy and I become overall annoyed (I’m sure that is also what you feel). All that makes it hard for me to prioritize logic over emotions when it comes to working on my goals.

I’m not here to say “just stop using your phone” — that’s not realistic. But try to stay aware of how it affects your energy and decisions.

One thing I’ve lately been doing that keeps me accountable is asking one question when I catch myself deep in scrolling: “Is this helping me feel better or just distracting me from what I don’t want to deal with?” Nine times out of ten, I already know the answer.

If you struggle to physically put your phone down even after you come to the mental decision that it is wrong, then try placing limits and timers on your phone. I use an app blocker and screen time controller app called STC and ScreenZen. Both are free and they do a wonderful job when it comes to me getting distracted by my phone or other devices.

Limiting your screen time isn’t about perfection — it’s about protecting your focus, energy, and mental clarity. The less time you spend mindlessly scrolling, the more time and space you create to actually live your life, not just watch others live theirs.

5. Pick up a new hobby/skill

Spring is the perfect time to challenge your brain with something new. After the consistent grinding to achieve the goals you wrote on your vision board or your new year’s resolution, adding that little something to your routine will create a spark so you can continue working without getting burned out.

This doesn’t have to be anything dramatic, try something you have been eyeing for a while, maybe painting, booking a Pilates class, or even starting to build your personal brand. Whatever it is, make sure it’s something you enjoy so it doesn’t become a chore to you or just another task added to your already long to-do list.

Learning something just for you (not for work, school, or content) reminds you that growth can be fun — not just productive. And that feeling of curiosity? It’s fuel.

Overall, don’t make this season overwhelming and stressful. Spring is all about fresh starts — and it’s the perfect time to evaluate what’s working for you and what isn’t. My schedule right now is a little stacked but implementing the above actions, I already saw a difference in the way I functioned and my day went. So, declutter your space, update your routines, get outside more, evaluate your screen time and pick up a new hobby.

Remember, the goal isn’t perfection, but progress. Start small, make adjustments where needed, and give yourself the space to grow without adding pressure.
